Live Band Photography Workshop with Kingsgate
For our third Gig Photography Workshop we were joined by the very talented and charismatic Kingsgate, performing mostly original songs with a few classic covers sprinkled in. The event took place in the beautiful main room in the iconic Balham venue ‘The Bedford’, with the upstairs Ballroom providing the perfect space to deliver presentations prior to our photographers capturing the band playing live.
With a light engineer on hand, we were able to provide the photographers with a variety of visual set ups to explore some of the challenges of live music photography. As the band were also performing specifically for the workshop participants it gave a unique opportunity to be able to move around the room to capture different viewpoints.
Following all our workshops, we encourage the photographers to share images with us via Instagram, and the standard of photographs from this event has been very impressive. The Photography Squad also took the opportunity to capture a few – feel free to peruse our gallery below.
